Today’s experiment: Try Western blot on rat samples
There are 3 criteria that would characterize the “ideal” Western blot in this case:
1) The band on the left would be faint, while the band on the right would be more bold.
2) Both bands would be slightly above that top marker.
3) Each lane would only have 1 band.
Right now, the 3rd criteria has been fulfilled. So I don’t know what happened with the other 2. Maybe I accidentally switched the lanes? Maybe the protein I’m looking for is smaller than is predicted, which would explain why the band is lower than expected.
Well I’ll need to redo it anyway, since I don’t remember if I did switch the lanes.
