Day 80 of 100: Do what you gotta do

Today’s experiment: IHC, again.

Yeah so my sections are starting to get cleaner.

Sectioning is probably my least favorite thing to do in lab. I feel like I can never get the angle of the blade right, 4 uM sections break super easily, and my head starts to hurt after a while from looking at things so closely.

But sure enough, I’m getting better.

People in lab told me that sectioning takes a lot of practice, until seeing the correct angle gets more intuitive and you develop the gentleness to move the sections around without breaking them. Ughhhhhh practicing. It’s like piano when I was a kid. I guess I’m grateful to my family for making me practice, since I do a lot of piano stuff at church now.

And I admit it, they’re right.
